Registration

2025 season registration is now closed. Registration for 2026 will open on April 1. If you're interested in joining us, please complete our interest form, and we'll be in touch. And make sure to follow us on socials for updates throughout the year! 

🚲 We have a couple "try-it-out" events (not try-outs!) in April or May of each of year. We recommend that all interested athletes attend one of these events to get a taste of our team culture and practices. We have loaner bikes and helmets available. Watch our social media and website for 2026 dates. You can attend a try-it-out or other pre-season event before registration; just complete and return a one-day waiver.

Registering for the team involves a few different steps. 

💌 Let us know you want to join! Reach out to us via the interest form or drop us a line at info@southcitymtb.org. We love to answer your questions and talk about our team and NICA! Our Team Director or Head Coach will respond to your questions or send you a welcome email. 

🙌 When you're ready to register, let your Team Director know, and they will invite you to register on NICA's online registration system, Pit Zone. You will create a login, review our Code of Conduct, complete registration, and pay the NICA/Missouri League fee. 

Fees are subject to change every year and will be communicated well in advance of registration. For 2025 they were:

1. • $340 for NICA and Missouri league. 

   • $150 team fees for NEW athletes and $100 for returning athletes. (Team fees are not refundable after July 1.)

🔁 If you are a returning rider, we will automatically invite you to register on Pit Zone on April 1.

💵Financial assistance is available for all fees. We don't want money to be a barrier to joining the team. For team fees, complete our team fee scholarship form, and for league lees, visit the MICL website.

🪖A bike in good working order (no coaster brakes!) and a helmet are required.  We have loaner bikes and loaner helmets available. 

📳Once you are registered on Pit Zone, we will invite you to Team Snap, the app we use for all of our scheduling and communication. You will need to create an account, download the app to your phone, and enable notifications. We only use to Team Snap to communicate and you don't want to miss any important updates. 

💰Pay your team fees invoice when you receive it. This money stays with the team and covers a practice shirt, practice equipment, snacks, team parties and awards, and other fun stuff. For new athletes, it also includes a jersey, socks, and water bottle. 

👕Order your team race jersey. You will receive an email with instructions. And complete the team intake form to get your practice shirt. 

🎈HAVE FUN! Attend as many pre-season events and practices as you can. Learn new skills, make new friends, conquer goals, and get outside your comfort zone! We can't wait to ride with you!
